Karla Talisse

SoSheBuilds was founded by Karla Talisse in 2017 to elevate the way construction and service-based businesses grow — through strategy, visibility, and government contracting.

After years in construction, real estate development, and public sector work, Karla saw a gap: too many capable businesses lacked the guidance and positioning needed to win government contracts and scale with confidence. She built SSB to change that.

Today, SoSheBuilds is a women-led firm blending business development, public relations, and marketing to help clients secure contracts, build strong brands, and create jobs that uplift entire communities. We don’t just support growth — we build legacies.

Alexa Young

Based in Irvine, CA, Alexa blends a background in operations and public sector projects with a passion for helping businesses streamline processes and hit performance goals. She’s known for her ability to keep complex initiatives moving forward with clarity and calm — whether coordinating a multi-stakeholder government bid or aligning internal teams on tight timelines.

Outside of work, Alexa finds balance hiking local trails with her rescue pup, recharging in nature, and supporting local women-led businesses. Her approach to project management is equal parts strategic and personal — because she believes successful outcomes are built on trust, accountability, and human connection.

Maricel Santos

Maricel brings a solid foundation in administrative support and team coordination, with a growing focus on optimizing day-to-day operations for busy professionals and entrepreneurs. With a background spanning small business environments and client-focused roles, she’s valued for her reliability, attention to detail, and calm presence under pressure.
